1. About us
madebygrove.co.uk is operated by HEWN HOLDINGS LIMITED, registered in England and Wales, company number 17194927, registered office 1 Vincent Farm, Vincent Road, Margate, England ("Grove", "we", "us"). Contact: hello@madebygrove.co.uk.

2. Our products
Grove desks are handmade to order in our Margate workshop from solid European redwood, finished in hardwax oil. Each desk is made to the width, depth, finish and leg configuration you select. Solid timber varies naturally — grain, tone and knot patterns differ from piece to piece. This variation is a feature of real wood, not a defect; product photography is a guide and your desk will be unique.

3. Ordering
Your order is an offer to buy, accepted when we confirm your order is in production. It is your responsibility to ensure the size ordered is correct for your space, including access for delivery — though if you get it wrong, our 30-day return policy has you covered.

4. Prices and payment
All prices are in pounds sterling and payment is taken in full at the point of order. Price changes will not affect orders already confirmed.

5. Returns
You have 30 days from delivery to return any desk, for any reason, in good undamaged condition — we arrange and pay for collection. Full details are in our Returns & Refunds policy. Your statutory rights for faulty goods are unaffected.

6. Delivery
Delivery is free to mainland UK by a two-person crew, to the room of your choice. Desks are built to order and typically ready within two weeks. Timescales are estimates; we'll keep you informed at every stage. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery; ownership passes on receipt of full payment.

7. Guarantee and use
Every desk carries our 25-year guarantee against faults in materials and workmanship. Our steel legs are rated to support up to 150kg evenly distributed. The guarantee doesn't cover normal wear, misuse, or damage after delivery.

8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made, or for business losses. Our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order.

9. These terms
We may update these terms; the version in force when you order applies to your order. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of its courts. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
